Jumpgate Evolution gets publisher

In a press release issued today, Codemasters announced that the company will publish Jumpgate Evolution, a space combat MMORPG currently in development by NetDevil Ltd., in Europe and North America. The announcement does not reveal a release date other than “late 2008″ which confirms that the game is scheduled to ship in 2008 but nothing more.

29th January (2pm GMT) - Codemasters Online have today unveiled their next generation MMORPG set for release in 2008, Jumpgate Evolution. Developed by the US-based experienced MMOG developer NetDevil, Jumpgate Evolution is a space-based MMO incorporating all-new action style gameplay like never seen before in any previous online game.

Upcoming Codemasters MMO announcement

Massively reports that we can expect an announcement for a new MMO from Codemasters in March at the Connect 2008, which is Codemasters’s very own online gaming expo. The company is currently responsible for operating Turbine’s Lord of the Rings Online for the European Market.

“… Wisecracks aside, here’s what the folks at Codemasters want every one to know: they will be announcing a new MMO at the Connect 2008 event in March. Connect 2008 is Codemasters’ own online gaming expo of sorts. It will take place in Birmingham. Oh, and the game will be playable at the event, too. If you’re in the U.K. and you’re an avid player of one of Codemasters’ games, it might be worth a trip.
